Joseli's Chapter Reflections

 We are going to talk about the presentation about chapter 3, 9, 10.

 

The chapter 3 talks about Intercultural communication.




In this chapter you learn about the different culture and how you can do for respect the people, in the end of the day we all are person and deserve the respect don’t matter the color of your skin, your ethnicity or your religion.




 

In this chapter you see that talks about a lot of things like culture, values, intercultural communication, cultures, race, ethnicity, sex and gender, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, age, disability, how culture differ, political barriers, communication strategies. 

 




This chapter talks about how we can be better and how we can be less ignorant about the different cultures.



Chapter 9 talks about communication in groups.






This chapter talks about that how everybody belongs to groups. A group is a collection of people who feel like they belong and have a common purpose. Group communications consist of all verbal a nonverbal message shared among members.




 

We share a lot of different groups like our families who are our mom, dad, or siblings who shared, this chapter tells us about the different kind of families that exist, and how kids or members of these families tent to develop. Social groups are composed about people who care genuinely about each other, this groups can come from high school, or work, and more where they spend much time with you and are there for make you feel better, worried about you and make you more out of your comfort zone and you can develop more.




 

And there more groups that all talk about support and care for each other and that people is there for you even if you think you don’t belong to any group, they always there for you and it’s not only your family there’s also more groups where you belong.

 


And for last chapter 10 talks about Group leadership and problem solving.






This chapter talk about the leadership, effective meetings, systematic problem solving. Communication group solutions and evaluating group effectiveness.




 

A leader is a person that manage a group for maintain the peace between the members of the group, these have the help of other people and also give task for each member to complete the work without trouble.




 

These talk about maintenance roles that are for maintain a group together and also show support there are different types of roles like:  supporters, interpreters, harmonizers, mediators, tension relievers.




 

These give us a lot of that every person is a leader and do everything to support the group and try their best, the leaders try to maintain a good relationship and support everybody in the group, a group leader are there for give their help and show that the person is making a good job and given all their effort. As person everybody make mistake and they have to show us that in a good way.

 




Every group have to do meeting for work or even for friendship, that maintain a good coordination with everybody, work group meeting helps you to be inform and know what your task is and what you have to do, friendship make you be inform about your friends’ life and how to support. 




 

These three chapters talk about communication, friendship and different cultures. These three chapters give us information that are helpful in our life and show us that don’t matter your race, your gender, religion, everyone have to be respectful and try their best to understand other people.
